Bybit<\/a>, the world\u2019s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced the conclusion of the Web3 Unleashed #3<\/strong><\/a> Hackathon, hosted in partnership with DMCC<\/a>. The event recognized five projects with a combined prize pool of USD 140,000 following a global competition that brought together 90 teams across six innovation tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted at S\/O Uptown Dubai, the hackathon gathered international developers, founders and investors under the theme \u201cShaping the next wave of Web3: driving the future of decentralisation.\u201d<\/strong> This year\u2019s edition expanded its scope with two new categories, DeFAI and DeSci, introduced alongside existing tracks in DeFi, Web3 Gaming, SocialFi, Infrastructure and Tokenisation. The broader structure reflected the increasing diversity and technical maturity of solutions emerging across the decentralised technology landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten finalist teams presented their concepts to a panel of industry specialists and venture leaders. Five teams were selected for top recognition based on innovation, technical execution and potential impact. The winners were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The hackathon was supported by partners including DWF Labs, TOP Ventures, CROSS, Verse8, The Open Platform, CV Labs, Hacken, Cointelegraph, Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA)<\/a> and Blockchain Gaming Alliance. Partners contributed mentorship, resources and visibility throughout the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Judging criteria covered creativity, technical execution, practicality, business potential, impact, presentation quality and team experience, with a strong focus on solutions addressing real-world challenges. Organizers noted that the Web3 Unleashed series continues to showcase emerging innovation in the blockchain sector and reinforces Dubai\u2019s growing position as a center for Web3 development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
